On May 16, 1992, Shenghong Sand Washing Factory in Shengze Town, Wujiang, Jiangsu Province was established.
In May 1994, "Shenghong Printing and Dyeing" merged with the original Xinghe Printing and Dyeing Company (Yonghe Printing and Dyeing Factory), and acquired more than 30 acres of land in the surrounding area to build a printing factory, with a total of 4 assembly lines.
In March 1998, Shenghong merged with the former Oriental Silk Printing and Dyeing Group Company, reorganized its resources and divided it into three branches.
In 2002, Shenghong Group established a boutique branch, and successively acquired Zhendong Branch and Jiaxing Tianlun Nano Dyeing and Finishing Co., Ltd. to further consolidate its position in the printing and dyeing industry.
In 2003, Shenghong entered the chemical fiber industry. Jiangsu Shenghong Chemical Fiber Co., Ltd. was established, and the 200,000-ton melt direct spinning project was started.
In June 2005, Shenghong Thermal Power Plant was officially put into operation, forming an energy sector and reducing the operating costs of the entire group.
In July 2007, the second phase of Shenghong Chemical Fiber 400,000 tons of melt direct spinning microfiber production project was successfully put into operation, with an annual spinning capacity of 600,000 tons of melt direct spinning, becoming the world's leading microfiber production base and known as "global microfiber expert".
In July 2008, the PTT spinning project of Jiangsu Zhonglu Science and Technology Development Co., Ltd. was officially put into operation, becoming the third PTT chip production base in the world.
In September 2009, Shenghong Group was selected as one of the top 500 Chinese enterprises for the first time.
In October 2010, Jiangsu Guowang Hi-Tech Fiber Co., Ltd. held the groundbreaking of the project.
In November 2010, Shenghong Group and the Management Committee of Xuwei New District, Lianyungang City successfully signed a petrochemical project with an annual output and officially entered the petrochemical industry.
In July 2011, the PTA project of Honggang Petrochemical with an annual output of 1.5 million tons in Shenghong Petrochemical Industrial Park was officially started.
In October 2012, Jiangsu Sierbang Petrochemical Co., Ltd. held a groundbreaking ceremony in Xuwei New District, which became a new growth point for the group's petrochemical sector.
In June 2015, Shenghong released the first international standard in the domestic chemical fiber industry, achieving a breakthrough in the formulation and revision of international standards in the domestic chemical fiber industry.
In September 2017, the whole process of the first phase of the alcohol-based polygeneration project of Serbang Petrochemical was opened, and it officially entered the stage of comprehensive and stable production.
In September 2018, Jiangsu Oriental Shenghong Co., Ltd. was successfully reorganized and renamed.
In December 2018, the 16 million tons/year refining and chemical integration project started, determined to build a world-class refining and chemical project on behalf of the country to participate in international competition.
In June 2019, the National Advanced Functional Fiber Innovation Center led by Sheng Hong was approved by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
In August 2020, Shenghong was listed on the Fortune Global 500 list for the first time, and the development of the company ushered in a historic leap.
In December 2020, China's first 60,000-ton melt direct spinning recycled fiber production line directly spun from bottle flakes was officially put into operation.
In January 2021, the "Shenghong Smart Printing and Dyeing Industrial Internet Platform" was rated as a national characteristic professional industrial Internet platform.
In March 2021, the second phase of the 2.4 million tons/year PTA expansion project of Honggang Petrochemical was officially put into operation, and the advantages of the whole industry were further enhanced.
In July 2021, Ruibang Technology's annual output of 250,000 tons of recycled texturing and Guowang Hi-Tech (Suqian)'s annual output of 500,000 tons of super-simulated fiber projects started in a centralized manner.
In September 2021, Serbong Petrochemical signed a contract with Icelandic Carbon Cycle International Co., Ltd. for the carbon dioxide to green methanol project, and the world's first carbon dioxide to new energy materials project was launched.
In December 2021, the second phase of the propane industry chain project of Serbang Petrochemical was put into operation, and the acrylonitrile production capacity ranked first in China.
In December 2021, Serbang Petrochemical was merged into Dongfang Shenghong, forming a unique "double chain" model of aromatics and olefins in the domestic industry, ushering in an important moment with development milestones.
In April 2022, the PDH unit of Serbang Petrochemical was successfully started, marking the completion of the whole process of the second phase of the propane industry chain project, and the energy system of Shenghong's "coal, gas and oil heads" is fully formed.
In May 2022, the first batch of core main units of Shenghong's 16 million tons/year refining and chemical integration project was successfully put into operation, and the largest single-process refining and chemical integration project in China was officially put into operation.
In July 2022, the "Hongyun" intelligent management platform was selected as a representative case of GIIC Industrial Digitalization and UNIDO Global Call 2022 in China, and was recommended as "Global Industrial Digitalization Innovative Technology and Solution".
In September 2022, the Shenghong Chemical New Materials Project started, and the "1+N" industrial pattern of the Group's raw material platform + new energy and new materials was promoted in depth.
In September 2022, the 800 tons/year POE pilot plant of Serbang Petrochemical produced qualified products, becoming the only enterprise in China with both photovoltaic-grade EVA and POE independent production technology.
In October 2022, the first 300,000-ton VLCC-class crude oil ship in Jiangsu Province successfully berthed at the storage terminal of Shenghong Refining & Chemical Port, and the raw material import channel of Shenghong Refining & Chemical Integration Project was fully completed.
In December 2022, Shenghong's new energy storage battery and system integration project was signed in Taizhou to create a new energy innovation highland.
In December 2022, Dongfang Shenghong GDR was successfully issued in Switzerland, taking a key step in its international development.
In December 2022, the Shenghong refining and chemical integration project, which has the largest single-process scale in China, was fully put into operation. Shenghong high-end new material project and global advanced materials research institute signed.
In January 2023, Shenghong Energy Storage Battery Super Factory and New Energy Battery Research Institute signed a contract to settle in Zhangjiagang, focusing on creating a "one-stop" green energy storage solution and promoting the development of global energy storage technology.
In March 2023, Shenghong won the highest award in the industrial field, the "China Industry Award".
In July 2023, the Shenghong Energy Storage Battery Super Factory and New Energy Battery Research Institute project officially started.
In August 2023, Shenghong was ranked 222nd in the Fortune Global 500 for four consecutive years, setting a new record for the ranking.
In September 2023, Shenghong Petrochemical's 100,000 tons/year carbon dioxide to green methanol project was put into operation, building the industry's first carbon-negative industrial chain of "carbon dioxide capture and utilization-green methanol-new energy materials".
In September 2023, the first phase of the energy storage base in Taizhou will achieve the planning, start, production, product application and sales volume of the year.
In December 2023, the fourth 260,000 tons/year acrylonitrile unit of Serbang Petrochemical was put into operation, and Shenghong's acrylonitrile production capacity rose to 1.04 million tons/year, becoming the world's largest acrylonitrile production base.
In January 2024, Shenghong Petrochemical's high-end material PETG plant was successfully put into operation at one time, with a production capacity of 130,000 tons/year, ranking first in the country.
In January 2024, the 100,000 tons/year nitrile latex project of Serbang Petrochemical Co., Ltd. will be put into operation.
In March 2024, the EC/DMC unit of Serbang Petrochemical was successfully started, further expanding and extending Shenghong's green carbon-negative industrial chain.
